Catch a Thief
On 8-27-05 the individuals pictured below stole a donation can designated for the "Jimmy Fund" to fight cancer. Anyone who knows who these idnividuals are are asked to please contact the Uxbridge police at 508-278-7755.

In an effort to reduce thefts in our community, we suggest the following: If you have house alarms-activate them. Lock your doors when you leave your house. Suspicious people walking around the back of houses or any other suspicious activity should be reported immediately to the Police Dept. 278-7755. If you can get a license plate of suspicious vehicle it would be helpful. Please do not endanger your life in pursuit of a license plate.
The breaks have become less frequent but we still are looking for the above mentioned criminals. Please continue to be vigilant

Posted 10-3-99: Case has been solved - Charges forthcoming - thank you for your cooperation! On 10-2-99 at approximately 10:10 AM a man robbed the New England Jewelry Store in the center of town and made off with several pieces of jewelry. The man was armed and is described as being white, in his late 40's or 50's. He is about 6 feet tall and weighs about 300 pounds. Anyone who saw anything unusual on that morning in the center or has any other information about the crime is encouraged to call us at 508-278-7755 or send us an eMail by clicking below.
 

The case below was solved on the day it was posted thanks to a tip from a citizen. Community involvement helps solve crime. Check this site in the future for other crimes where you can help! Sometime between Tuesday Feb. 16,1999 and Friday Feb. 19 someone broke into the Health Office at the Uxbridge High School. We have some leads in the matter but are asking anyone who has information about the break to contact us by clicking on the email button below or calling the police department at 508-278-7755. We can tell you that the suspect has taken prescription medication that belongs to three UHS Students. As with any medications, if they are taken in large quantity they can be very dangerous.
