UXBRIDGE YOUTH CENTER

The Youth Center is once again open!

Membership in the Youth Center include children of middle school age who are Uxbridge residents and/or are enrolled in the Uxbridge Public School System. Some members are from surrounding towns and attend Uxbridge schools through school choice.

The Youth Center has part time staff members and numerous volunteers.  The center is open during the school year on Monday through Friday 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
 
 

The Center offers a variety of activities for the members to participate in on a daily basis.  Some activities include but are not limited to Dances, Pool Tournaments, Movies, Art Classes, Community Service, Fundraisers, Instructional Classes, Games, sport activities, computers, and homework help.
 
 

The Uxbridge Youth Center has also been available to community groups and all Schools for meetings and functions. Some of these groups include the Uxbridge High School, Taft School, Whitin School, Uxbridge Baseball Assoc., Uxbridge Youth Football, Young Mothers Groups, Uxbridge Police Dept., and Explore & Discover Planning Team. There is a G. E. D. and job search program offered by Y.O.U. inc. on site.
 
 

The Youth Center has offered many field trips for its members to enjoy throughout the year. Some past trips have been to Higgans Armory, Douglas Water Slides, Wallum Lake, one week bike trip across Cape Cod, Boston trip, car races, Pawtucket Red Sox, Boston Red Sox, Worcester Ice Cats, and many more. These trips are paid for with funds from fundraisers as well as state and federal grants.
