Police Officer Training
The Uxbridge Police Department is a civil service police
department. This means that appointment as an officer is based initially on
passing an exam administered by the Department of Personnel Administration
in Boston. After passing the test and having your name listed on a list for
appointment, the Uxbridge Board of Selectmen make appointments to the Department.
Uxbridge uses the list for part time appointments initially.
Full Time appointments are then made off of the part time list.
